About Us

Caring for your child as one of our own

At Shire Guardians, we know how much it means to feel confident that your child is safe, happy, and genuinely cared for while they are far from home. That is what we are here for — to be the kind of presence you would want for them if you could be nearby.

As the founder of Shire Guardians — and a mum myself — I really do understand how important this is. I grew up here in Shropshire, went to school in Shrewsbury, and now, as a parent, I have been through the local independent school system all over again. I have seen things from both sides, and that is what inspired me to start this service: something grounded in care, trust, and real experience.

I am also a lawyer, which gives me a strong sense of responsibility and organisation, but it was helping my own children’s international school friends settle in that truly showed me how much difference the right support can make.

At Shire Guardians, we have built close links with local schools, staff, and families — and we bring that personal touch to everything we do. Whether finding a great host family, attending a school event in your place, or just checking in to see how your child is doing, we are here to make sure they are never alone and always looked after.

We treat every child in our care as if they were our own — because that is exactly what we would want for our own children.
